“The visions of your prophets were false and worthless; they did not expose your sin to ward off captivity”
(Lam 2:14, NIV).
"For I [Paul] have not shunned to declare unto you all the counsel of God"
(Acts 20:27, KJV).
Peacekeepers sweep the problems under the carpet where they can’t be seen but still remain.
Peacemakers lift the carpet, sweep the problems back up, and deal with them so that they don't remain.
Hence why Christ said, “Blessed are the peacemakers,” not the peacekeepers.
So, your concern is admirable, and your frustration understandable, because there’s certainly much to be concerned about within the Church, Christendom and churches. Opposition can be strong, obstacles many, and Satan a ferocious, cunning foe.
However, the Scriptures say:
And therein lies the answer.
Yes, we may be absolutely right, and what we’re saying needing to be said, but when we go on and on and on about certain things, and every chance we get, and even acting like an agitator, the following can happen:
1) People may start avoiding us, we losing friends and even supporters.
2) People may start getting very annoyed, and as a result,
3) Certain avenues may become closed to us.
4) Our witness can become unbalanced, because our determination, even outrage, may override the fact that there’s a time and place; because Christ-like-ness may take a back seat; and because we may appear fanatical.
5) Our concerns and frustrations may become all consuming, our walk, health, and even family suffering.
6) We may give rise to a destructive spirit of criticism and discontentment within the fellowship. Problems are one thing, dealing with them too, but an over focus can be counterproductive.
7) We may put newcomers off. Some things can be too much too soon. Even Christ held back from conveying certain things to His disciples, He knowing that they were hardly ready for such, and thus might or would be overwelmed.
We must also remember that Christ strove to win hearts, not arguments, and that even when people are convicted of what we’re saying, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s going to make a difference. Many will still go ahead despite such, still cling to what they shouldn’t, or hold back lest they lose popularity.
So, what to do, and how to do it:
1) First and foremost, work on your relationship with Christ, and then on your relationship with others.
2) When attending church, be friendly and thoughtful to all, be they conservatives or liberals, and be they for you or against you.
3) When studying and searching the Scriptures with others, don’t look for opportunities to always ram something home, no matter how true it is. By all means share your viewpoint where appropriate, even disagreeing with something and stating why, but quietly, confidently, prudently and respectfully.
4) At all costs, avoid bailing people up, constantly accosting them, or continuing on when it’s clear that they want to get going. This can include phone calls and emails.
5) If you struggle to articulate things, or find it hard to control your emotions, try to find someone who’ll help and gently restrain you where such is needed.
6) By all means offer material that will enlighten, but don’t push it on others.
7) Chill out. Even Christ took breaks when on Earth, and it’s He who has the weight of the world and His Church on His shoulders.
8) Given the times and the state of play, don’t have unrealistic expectations, and never treat leaders like gods.
Remember this:
That when it comes to concerns within the Church, or our own church, its doing something about those concerns that matters, as opposed to nothing. Success is God’s domain! Our job is to sow, not reap.
That much that Christ said on Earth was rejected too, and that He still had to go all the way to the cross. Likewise, we must carry our cross. Though it's hard pushing barrows uphill, they still need pushing.
That when it comes to many people, it can take a long time for the penny to drop, no matter how good our attempts to explain, and no matter the evidence.
That many who’re mistaken in their view, are still good and godly people.
That its God’s Church, not our Church, or church, and that others are His children, not our children.
That God’s still in control, that He never said there will come a day when the Church or church is perfect.
That God wants people who’ll wield the pen, not the sword, that God wants heralders of truth, not enforcers of truth.
That Satan has often won battles, but won’t win the battle.
And hey, mind that you don’t lose your own salvation by trying to secure the salvation of others via negative, un-Christ-like ways. It’s important that you’re saved. Others must choose for themselves.
And remember that where your righteous efforts prove unsuccessful, God's won't, because there's a coming day:
outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17, NASB).
Something else to bear in mind:
Christ wants us to be bold, not rude.
Christ wants us to reason, not argue.
Christ wants us to persuade, not force.
Christ wants us to approach, not attack.
Christ wants us to shine, not blind.
1. Airing Dirty Laundry
If you’ve a problem with a church member, or your church, don’t blab it about, norShout it on the web, or, if it’s not a crime, take it before a court of law,
Because if you do, you’ll bring Christ’s cause and Church into disrepute — a grave wrong —
For each such case is another reason, excuse, for the disbelieving throng.
Christ wants His people to be a positive witness, unified and selfless,
A reflection of what Christianity should be — Christ-like; free of bad press,
The latter turning people off, holding Christ and His Church up to ridicule,
And providing the devil and his malcontents with more damming things to hurl.
Too much is aired on the web, and too much is said to worldly counsellors, who,
Do not have spiritual discernment, and such strengthening their jaundiced view.
And yes, Christ thus bruised again for our iniquities, and again, and again,
Because rather than taking it to Christ, so much is placed before common men.
For the sake of Christ and His Church, certain things are best just borne, and they a test,
Proving how much like Christ we are or aren’t, and whether we’ll do what’s cursed or blest.
And other members watching that example or stumbling block, and angels too,
Who record our every word and action — so please, mind what you say and do.
By Lance Landall
"If it's not a crime," refers to serious crime like rape, incest, murder and so on.
2. Why We Should Still Go To Church
Christ’s the HEAD of the Church, thus we going for HIS sake, though He has TOLD us to,And therefore, it being an INSULT not to go, proof that our love is askew.
Oh, such lack of gratitude for what He has done, because WITNESS there we would,
All seeing WHO we have come to HONOUR, and this why every Christian should.
Yes, each church like a FLAG, and worshiping together proving beneficial,
We sharing, learning and growing, teaching kids there’s a TIME and PLACE to be still.
Yes, God desiring respectful, reverent worship, that all may know
He’s a holy, righteous, majestic King, and due GLORY we shouldn’t forgo.
Each church a training centre where we’re to learn to get along with others, who
Need that same weekly help and support, that Sabbath blessing that Christ also knew.
Coming together reminding of our Creator, it our CORPORATE face,
Which would soon be lost if we were to stay at home in our selfish little space.
Others deprived of our presence, God left waiting, growth and witness lessened, and
Each church limping rather than soldiering on as one united Christ-like band.
More achieved via a fellowship, and hence those gifts of the Spirit given us,
That the Church might triumphant be, better spread the saving Gospel of Jesus.
The Church more than a building, but a building there needs to be, hence why it’s said
That there along with others we should be found, Jesus its CORNERSTONE and HEAD.
Each pastor and teacher imparting God’s TRUTHS to the flock as a whole, who then
(Having been fortified and educated), spread out as great fishers of men.
Via our church we SHOWCASE our heavenly Father, put Him in lights, praise His name,
Lifting Him up in song, empowered as a body and igniting the flame.
Visitors witnessing the moving of the Spirit, that selfless Christian love
That points to a heavenly source, a Saviour who’s soon returning from above.
God designed us as social beings, wired for interacting, such healthy too,
We all the better for it in every way, and here, it more than proves true.
No one blessed more than when spending time with Jesus, and sharing Him with others,
Especially those who love Him too, and whom we call our sisters and brothers.
By Lance Landall
3. Too Caught Up
Many come into the church only to end up back out again, sad to say,Having got caught up on tangents or side issues, a sure way to lose one’s way.
They not having truly focussed on Christ, that vital relationship, but things,
Controversial arguments, and why of his own cleverness, Satan sings.
If it’s not perfection, it’s doubts about the Godhead (known as the Trinity),
Or something else, and many running after some concocted conspiracy.
The Good News Gospel taking a back seat, even God for that matter, and so
There goes another sister or brother, and straight into the arms of our foe.
Yes, their informers having pointed out every sin within the church, and
How it’s strayed, and who’s helped it stray, when in such destructiveness, they’ve had a hand.
Too much said too often, or too soon, before one’s had a chance to find one’s feet,
And to grow in Christ; nothing within any organisation perfectly neat.
And all why we keep our eyes on Christ and concentrate on that relationship,
Lest ’neath the waves of discouragement and confusion, and like Peter, we slip.
Too many veering to the left, veering to the right, gone the straight and narrow,
They far too busy listening to that which hinders, or pushing some barrow.
Yes, the straight and narrow exchanged for that straining at gnats, or for the broad road,
Many becoming loose and careless, or carrying far too heavier load.
It all about surrender, willing reflection, the work of the Spirit, who
Leads us into truth, not falsehood, and who long ago, Satan’s deceptiveness knew.
Satan tries to create as many problems in the Church as he can, and thus
We minding falling into his clever traps; some thinking they’re pleasing Jesus.
Yes, much has been done in Christ’s name that knows nothing of Him, and dare it be us,
So many thinking they’ve got it worked out, but actually hurting Jesus.
Christ is big enough to look after His own Church, He not needing militants,
Nor foragers of wrong and ills with their spy glasses who must make Jesus wince.
Our eyes to be focused on Him, our time and effort too, lest we somehow stray,
No church without its faults, nor any Christian, and faultfinding never the way.
Sure there’s a time and place to speak and act (cause silence can render us guilty too),
But wisdom and caution should be applied, and obsession one shouldn’t pursue.
Otherwise our eye’s taken off the ball, precious time and effort going elsewhere,
The world not impressed, the Church imploding, evangelism’s cupboard left bare.
By Lance Landall
But having said all this,
"We are in the midst of an unprecedented revival of sorcery worldwide that is deeply affecting not only every
level and sector of modern society, but the church as well."
"It is absolutely necessary to allow the Bible to judge every experience. If there is not clear teaching in the Bible to support a practice, it should not be adopted by the church today, regardless of how beautiful and
seemingly miraculous the experiences are that it produces.”
From the book The Seduction Of Christianity by Dave Hunt & T.A.McMahon
"Science has given way to the belief in the nonmaterial world. Materialism is dead. No longer clinging to the view
that nothing exists except matter, science now admits the reality of a nonmaterial dimension governed by mysterious forces and inhabited by nonmaterial intelligences that it can neither identify nor explain. Every facet of occultism is
now being explored as the new hope in medicine, education, psychology, business, military intelligence and space science.
The Mind Science cults such as Christian Science, Science of Mind, Religious Science, and Unity School of Christianity openly embrace the occult. Their brand of occultism has invaded charismatic and Pentecostal churches through the Positive Confession movement of Hagin, Copeland, Cho, Wimber, Hinn, and other false prophets and healers. The same “positive” occultism has invaded the evangelical church through Peale and Schuller and their followers. “Christian” psychology and related practices of inner healing or healing of memories and 12-Step programs have accelerated that invasion as well.
All of these streams are now coming together through the ecumenical movement. Its scope is unprecedented in human history. What we are seeing can only be the great apostasy which Paul said must come in order for the day
of Christ to dawn and the Antichrist to be revealed. All that remains for the occult invasion to triumph is the
establishment of a New World Order…"
From the book, Occult Invasion, by Dave Hunt
“And I saw three unclean spirits [spiritualism/paganism/heresy] like frogs coming out of the mouth [policy] of the dragon [Satan], out of the mouth of the beast [first beast, little horn], and out of the mouth of the false prophet [the second beast that effectively creates an image of the first beast]. For they are spirits of demons, performing signs [supernatural manifestations via various human agencies to authenticate the above religious union], which go out to the kings [political powers] of the earth and of the whole world [to get them on their side], to gather them to the battle [the religious conflict] of that great day of God Almighty ” (Rev 16:13,14, NKJV).
4. Lying Prophets
Just as ancient Israel had false prophets, like Hananiah, so will it be,And is, in fact, within Christendom, hence why we’ve been warned prophetically.
“Have we not prophesied in Your name?” they’ll ask, and Christ on that day will say,
“Depart from Me, you that work iniquity,” and thus goodbye eternity.
Yes, their utterings false, just like Hananiah’s, they leading many astray,
Courtesy of false and soothing words when truth and stern warnings they should convey.
No, God not having sent them, but a devil, and hence their error and folly,
Their false predictions, their self importance, which simply aids our adversary.
A genuine prophet’s humble, not trumpeting his or her ability,
For how shameful it is when some Christian attempts to hog some of God’s glory.
He alone due such, hence His anger at the explosion of prophets we see,
Who destroy the Church’s purity, credibility, and integrity.
And who might be aiding them? Those pastors who open up their pulpits to them,
Who our Lord and Saviour (the One who’ll judge the world) will also condemn.
Yes, woe the shepherd (of any flock) who allows such wolves to enter, for he
Is a watchman on the wall; and like “lying prophets,” acts as treacherously.
False prophets reside in Babylon, and hence why God says to “come out of her,”
And why as far as harlots go (what Scripture calls her followers), she’s their mother.
She representing all religious bodies that have fallen away from truth,
Having accepted heresy, be that via itchy ears or unwittingly.
Just as some came out of ancient Babylon and returned to Jerusalem,
We must come out of modern Babylon, ’cause those who stay, plagues will fall upon.
God wanting us to return to the path of truth, the unadulterated Word,
And not the utterings of those “lying prophets” that many of us have heard.
Predictions made in the name of God are very serious business indeed,
Because prophets are raised up to call God’s people back to Him, which all should heed.
Hence why we’re to judge the message of these messengers, not go by wonders and signs,
Because even “lying prophets” can amaze the eye, thereby deceiving minds.
By Lance Landall
"An appalling and horrible thing has happened in the land: The prophets prophesy falsely, and the priests rule
on their own authority; And My people love it so! But what will you do at the end of it" (Jere 5:30,31, NASB).

5. Elijahs And Ahabs
In the book of Revelation, which deals with End-times, we’re told of trickery,Deceiving signs, including fire that appears to come from Heaven, amazingly.
But it simply the work of Satan and a persecuting global power,
One that fools most of Earth’s inhabitants around the time of Christ’s coming hour.
Now, such reminds me of that consuming fire on Mount Carmel that God once sent,
And this, in order that those who’d turned from the true God might return and repent.
But this time it merely Satan’s look-alike in order to deceive, mislead,
And why not the words of men but the proven Word of God we should learn and heed.
Yes, no fire striking that altar that the priests of Baal had set up, danced around,
Their gods imaginary and useless, unable to act or make a sound.
But not so the one and only God, the true God, who sent that fire that consumed,
And hence why Satan copies it, the cruel global power deluded and groomed.
Yes, that power a lamb that becomes a dragon, it once good but then turns bad,
And it a wolf that’s disguised by sheep’s clothing, but also signs and wonders clad.
And its success due to most folk having swallowed error, false teachers at work,
Just like in Ahab’s day,
But oh, how people aid and abet when the sound study of Scripture they shirk,
But isn’t that the way.
Oh, how easily people are led into heresy, smooth talk a winner,
The whole truth and nothing but the truth never popular with any sinner.
Oh, how folk prefer to believe what they prefer to be true, and why it’ll be
That most will be deceived having refused to embrace the straight testimony.
God’s only honoured and glorified by humble, willing obedience, and
Our putting Him first in all things, our lifting Him up before all in each land.
We Elijahs, not Ahabs, never bowing the knee to Baal, but God alone,
For trouble has always followed where man has sought to put humans on a throne,
Or where man has foolishly bowed before so-called gods made of timber or stone.
The history of ancient Israel is a sorry read, yet what do we see,
But another raggle-taggle bunch blighting and distorting Christianity.
Yes, Mount Carmel all over again, “How long halt ye between two opinions?”
For there’s so much that’s Baal-like deluding and hindering so many Christians.
And the proof?
There in Revelation: “Come out of her, My people,” chapter eighteen, verse four,
But how many will respond? God’s judgment hour about to close probation’s door.
Yes,
Only seven thousand still faithfully following God in Elijah’s day,
And a remnant today, few jealous for the honour of God’s cause, asleep, astray.
By Lance Landall
"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge..." (Hosea 4:6, KJV).
"But I still have 7,000 people in Israel whose knees have not knelt to worship Baal and whose mouths
have not kissed him" (1 Kings, 19:18, God's Word Translation).
"And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep
the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus Christ" (Rev 12:17, KJV).
"And it performed great signs, even causing fire to come down from heaven to the earth in full view
of the people" (Rev 13:13, NIV).
"The coming of the lawless one [God usurping power] will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those who are perishing.
They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved" (2 Thess 9,10, NIV)
“ ‘For false Christs and false prophets will arise, and will show great signs and wonders, so as to mislead,
if possible, even the elect' " (Matt 24:24, NASB).
tradition and the basic principles of this world [the wares of false teachers] rather than on Christ" (Col 2:8, NRSV).
So then, what are some of those signs of apostay within the Church?
There’s a desire for those who tickle the ears and lull rather than those who awaken and stir, hence the desire for crowd pleasers and the disparaging of straight talking, Bible upholding preachers, watchmen on the wall, and trumpet blowers.
Scripture is no longer the golden standard.
Compromise is rife.
Heresy, worldliness, and a forbidden holy and unholy mix are present.
There’s actually a denial of, and an inability to see, the apostasy within.
There’s an influx of motivational gurus and self esteem teachers pushing pop psychology.
There’s a desire for popularity and a heavy accent on people pleasing.
There’s a focus on numbers rather than on quality.
Feelings and fellowship are considered more important than faith and facts.
There’s a biblical and doctrinal illiteracy.
There are false miracles, signs and wonders, and a false speaking in tongues.
Creation is being left behind in favour of evolution.
There’s a liberality, conformity, hypocrisy, lethargy, complacency and mimicry.
There’s an erosion of boundaries.
There’s a blurred identity and calling.
There’s more a form of godliness.
There’s a down playing of obedience, holiness, and of God’s warning of His judgment hour, and thus a taking licence with God’s grace.
There’s sensually gratifying beat-orientated praise music.
Worship is built around self-centred gratification rather than God-centred adoration.
There’s a promoting of an experiential and mystical form of Christianity.
There are forbidden idols, errant leaders, false teachers, prophets and healers.
There’s a casualness, a dressing down, and a move away from churchy looking buildings, and thus a weakening of the Christian witness within society.
There’s a political interference, a courting of and collusion with the State.
Absolute unity is seen as more important than absolute truth.
The Gospel of Christ is replaced by secular methods promoting church growth and a social gospel.
The Bible is interfered with — partly disputed, subtracted from, or added to.
There’s a teaching of forgiveness without repentance.
There’s a reliance on man rather than on God.
God’s Law is regarded lightly, or as having been done away with, contrary to Scripture.
Love is measured not by one’s loyalty to Christ and obedience to His Word but by one’s loyalty to the group and conformity to the consensus.
There’s a preoccupation with gimmicks, entertainment, and theatrical methods, including the use of the comedic.
There’s a teaching of salvation without regeneration.
There’s an acceptance of the spiritualistic, humanistic, and paganistic — alias New Age.
There’s a denial that Jesus is the only way to salvation.
There’s little desire for order and discipline, nor is discipline applied in accordance with the Word.
There’s a “Don’t judge me,” “Don’t rock the boat,” and “We’re all human” escape mentality.
The sinfulness of fallen man is being exchanged for the so-called excellence of man.
It teaches self love when God’s Word clearly condemns such.
It has followers rather than seekers.
Little by little the bar of truth is being lowered in order to let un-churched people gain entrance.
There’s a desire to only dwell on the positives.
Those who desire to walk in the fullness of God’s Word and will are labelled as legalists or fanatics.
There’s a catering to the whims and desires of the unregenerated casuals.
There’s a desire for healing without personal responsibility.
There’s a desire for eternity without trial and sacrifice.
There’s a greater preference for sin rather than holiness.
There’s a desire for praise but not humbleness.
There’s a desire for fiction and fantasy as opposed to truth and reality.
There’s an ecumenism that’s drawing faiths together in an unholy alliance with the State, worldly organisations, and non-Christian religions, and in contradiction to the Reformers protests, all of which will play into the hands of the persecuting End-time religious-political global power.
the culmination of the ages has come" (1 Cor 10:11, NIV).
More could be added to this list — however, the above simply serves as an example.

SOMETHING WORTH DWELLING ON
After all, he struggled with answers, let alone convincing ones.
You see, Derek had never really been taught to question anything, nor to study for himself, or only to study what his particular faith had designed for its members, and tradition also playing its part.
And so, any challenge left him feeling rattled and insecure.
As a result, when certain truths were presented to him showing him that he was holding to error, he would get very defensive, simply accepting the sought after answers that his church members, pastor or priest would give him, along with their advice to watch out for those who lead astray — he not seeing that both he and they were actually the ones who were leading folk astray.
And such begging the question: If he had to run to others for answers, not being able to defend his beliefs well, what was he doing holding on to them, for how sure of them was he?
All why he just parroted what he’d been taught, it all so engrained in him, he unable to see past it.
It just couldn’t be wrong, he assumed, and therefore, others must be the ones who were wrong, because his people would surely know what they were talking about, and yet, we all aware of how masses have got things wrong.
The Bible, referring to the End-times, tells us that the whole world will be deceived by lying signs and wonders.
Yes, Derek seemed rather committed to his particular faith, but was simply a deluded enthusiast.
Ignorant? Well, not without fault given that every Christian should apply him or herself to deep, unbiased, Spirit-led, personal Bible study. To not do so is to insult and offend the Word Himself.
And so, here Derek was, clinging like a limpet to error, never really questioning his fellow members or leaders despite Christians being warned to watch out for false teachers, prophets and messiahs.
Jesus said: I am the way, the truth and life? Therefore, He’s clearly not a God of conflicting ways and truths.
“But God understands his sincerity,” some might say, “Because he’s sure he’s right.” Well, being sure is one thing, but being right often another.
The Bible says that we’re to study to show ourselves approved to God. At the end of the day, God will hardly applaud error. Hence why we’re to be like the Bereans who went away and diligently checked out what had been said, and whether it lined up with God’s Word, lest they be in error.
If people just go to their own kind, pastor or priest, rather than checking things out for themselves, they’re taking a risk they can’t afford.
Despite many of us plumbing the depths of Scripture, we can still have difficulty retaining everything, but that’s a far cry from relying on others to do our thinking for us, or the hard yards.
“My people perish for lack of knowledge,” God once said, and such will be the case for many Christians to whom God will one day say, “Depart from Me,” they having misled, erred, and condemned those who did speak the truth.
And yes, too often people prefer to believe what they prefer to be true — what suits.
Why is pointing out the errors in any denomination or religion important?
1)
Because that information made public can help prevent others from embracing that same error too.
2)
Because that information made public can help those who’ve already embraced that error to see why it is in fact error.
3)
Because that information should naturally be made available in order for folk to truly have freedom of choice.
4)
Because people can draw up arguments from the very same source as us — God's Word, here — thus one not only has to find and present the correct position, the truth, but show and prove the error in any counter argument, (which some people wrongly call knocking when it's really informing).
5)
Because certain beliefs that some people are holding to are very destructive. ISIS the worst of examples.
6)
Because much done and said in the name of God hasn't been of God at all.
6. What God Condemns, We Must Condemn
Though God is a God of love indeed, there’s much that He condemns and labels sin,And with good reason given our fallen natures, this sin plagued world that we’re in.
And so, though we should be loving too, what God condemns, we must condemn, call sin,
Otherwise, we’re hardly like Christ, hardly worthy of being called a Christian.
After all, Christians aren’t just to love, but to impart all they’ve been commissioned to:
Biblical doctrine, warnings, morals, principles and standards, all that’s right and true.
No, such is hardly just the pastor’s duty, but that of all who take on Christ’s name,
Witnessing both in word and deed, ’cause they’ve a Gospel message to live and proclaim.
Yes, what God condemns, we must condemn, because we should hate iniquity too,
Sin having put Christ on a cross, He paying the penalty that we were due.
And hey, look how so many today are disputing what God has condemned, and
This why we must run to His defence, and never ever compromise our stand.
And lets remember that the Bible is the Word of God, He speaking through men,
Who, under Divine guidance, conveyed His commands, wishes and warnings via pen.
In other words, as if He’d spoken them himself, so, “every word proves true,”
And hence why our stand should be bold, because it’s built on the Rock, not shifting sand.
In other words, on an unchangeable God whose Word’s just as dependable,
It not dependant on circumstances, culture or the times, but current still.
And applicable to all, though more so the Christian, who’s meant to guard it well,
As if his or her life depends on it, but still looking to Calvary’s hill.
By Lance Landall
7. The True Brothers And Sisters In Christ
Nothing's wrong with defending your beliefs, and nor in challenging someone else’s, though lovingly,'Cause such is the freedom God gives to us all, and oft how truth and error are seen, actually.
But when we treat others poorly because of their differing beliefs, or their challenging of ours,
We stomp all over that freedom God's sanctioned, thus acting un-Christ-like, which His anger will arouse.
All why I feel impressed to state the following:
It’s time we stopped such childish behaviour which has more to do with bigotry, and Satan as well,
Who, storms our God-given freedom by convincing folk that such threatens unity — a tale made in Hell,
'Cause unity’s an attitude, a working together in love for God's glory, and doing so
Despite differences; you going to your church and I to mine, hence that passing heartfelt, “Hello.”
At the end of the day, aren’t all Christians Christians, followers of the same Christ, so what's going on then,
'Cause treating others poorly is certainly not Christianity, but the lunacy of men.
Thus those who act so, not only without an excuse, but going contrary to the teachings of Christ,
'Cause He said we’re not to mistreat anyone in any way — and those who do, aid the anti-Christ.
Just like unity’s an attitude, bigotry's a mentality, one that's far from heavenly,
Hence why Christians shouldn't have a bar of such, defending each others right to think and act differently.
And by that I mean, to choose their denomination, defend their beliefs, challenge those of others,
Thus truly witnessing to the world of the love of Christ found amongst Christian sisters and brothers.
And this, despite some differences, and midst healthy debate, 'cause such is true Christianity,
How we know the true brothers and sisters in Christ — such a greater witness to the world, quite clearly,
'Cause such shows the Spirit working powerfully in hearts and minds, something God wants the world to see,
Calvary bringing all Christians together despite their differences, in peace and harmony.
Where’s the miracle in all Christians thinking and acting the same? Unless we’re talking, righteously,
For oh, what a mighty witness that would be, millions won over by us acting so heavenly.
But where there’s difference yet unity in Christ, that’s a miracle indeed, each Christian rightly free,
Following their conscience, one that’s captive to the Word of God, not some religious majority.
If Christ never mistreated folk, gave them freedom of choice, reserved the right to challenge beliefs, then
We’re to follow His example, and not some pious conformity imposed by error prone men,
'Cause such restricts the discovery of both truth and error, and why Christ won't sanction such folly,
He saying, “Come let us reason together,” such quite the opposite of that herd mentality.
How sad when someone finds that you hold to something that they don’t believe is correct, and off they go,
You suddenly some contaminant, even alien, and how via their "fruits" their true colours show.
They entitled to their belief, but not you, or at your peril, it appears, and there goes Jesus,
Highly offended by such bigotry, disgusted, ’cause even He’s prepared to reason with us,
And why I’ve never seen Him go.
True bothers and sisters in Christ wouldn’t treat you any differently, engaging any time,
Simply begging to differ where they disagreed, 'cause this is how upward (and not downward) we climb.
Heaven all about love, treating others as Christ would, regardless of denomination or belief,
Given that acting otherwise doesn’t lead to eternal life, but certainly, soon coming grief.

This poem was upgraded 6 March 2020.
Well, he creates a MYSTERIOUS world, unlike God who deals in realities, warts and all, who makes things very clear, who points to His Word, who calls a spade a spade, and who tells us (via the book of Genesis) how everything came about, and (via the book of Revelation) how things will end.
But not Satan though, he the Father of Lies.
Yes, it’s simply the old Eve scenario, Satan trying to convince us (like he did Eve) that God is withholding things from us, that we can become gods ourselves, and that we can enter a realm (a paradise) via our own efforts (mind power, often confused for “faith”) and via tapping into that unseen territory that God has warned of and forbidden, that unseen territory that belongs to devils who seek to fool and mislead humans via the beguiling and magical, and such often wrapped in the sensual.
Yes, the realm of darkness, God calls it — the occult with its New Age gobbledygook, astrology, and so on, where mediums, clairvoyants, psychics, witches, wizards and the likes belong.
A kind of fantasy world that Satan and his inventive cohorts have created much like Walt Disney created his Disneyland; such clearly inspired by Satan and not God given its ghosts, pixies, trolls, wizards, witches, ogres, mermaids and so on, all known via the likes of their comic book names: Aladdin, Hercules, Casper, Merlin, Tinkerbelle, Batman, Shrek and so on too
And thus everyone spellbound (and spellbound is right!), they searching anywhere and everywhere but where it’s at, God’s Word set aside for wasted hours and effort, for this guru’s or that guru’s nonsense, and hence the likes of ESP, visualization (mind magic), even contemplative prayer — those things that feel or sound spiritual but aren’t. Yes, Satan’s same old sorcery, but under new labels.
No, there’s nothing MYSTERIOUS about God’s Word. It’s clear, straight, sage, encouraging, insightful, uplifting and leading to life, unlike Satan’s spiel which is full of deceptive hocus-pocus, and which leads to death.
So why oh why are Christians (including their leaders — Schuller and Peale for two) dabbling in such territory, embracing it, turning it into Christianized idolatry, an experiential and mystical form of Christianity — yes, a form of godliness?
And hasn’t the Bible warned of Satan’s big End-time deception via amazing signs and wonders, sorcery?
Well, the Bible tells us how many Christians will in fact be lead away by myths, such people having itchy ears, and why those who don’t love the truth like they should will be lost.
8. Timely Truth
It’s really all about what’s right or wrong, and whether better one should know, so,
We turning to the Bible for answers, and not men, or there we’ll go again,
’Cause it’s so oft in defence of their preferences that they pick up a pen.
“She’s way too conservative,” or, “He’s way too liberal,” we hear people say,
As if being either a conservative or a liberal is okay,
Just so long as someone isn’t too conservative, or too liberal, say,
When the truth is, we can hardly have it both ways, such not making any sense,
And more so when the issues we face not only make or break but are immense.
And so, either something’s right or wrong, it blessed by God or not, true or false, and,
Therefore, not friends or even pastors, but the plain and sure Word of God at hand.
And we always erring on the side of caution, not tailoring things to suit,
Lest we become people pleasers, betrayers of Christ, infected Christian fruit.
And hence that Earth shattering, “Depart from Me,” of which all Christians should take note,
Lest instead of them being considered a sheep, they be considered a goat.
All why it’s not conservatism or liberalism that’s the key here,
But our fully surrendering to Christ, whose will, ways and truths are crystal-clear.

9. Are You A Josiah?
Yes, are you a Josiah, both in your life and in your Christian walk, and, let me add,As a leader or non-leader, thus good or bad as those kings God’s chosen had?
You either tearing down wrong altars, putting them up, or turning a blind eye,
Meeting God’s approval or condemnation, showing the way or leading awry.
Well, I don’t know about you, but I wish to be a Josiah, straight and true,
Keeping God’s Commandments, carrying out His will, encouraging others to.
Oh to be remembered for goodness, not evil, those bad kings far from a few,
Israel becoming as bad or worse than pagans who better never knew.
So, how do things stand regarding Christendom, are it’s followers erring too,
Having poorly chosen like ancient Israel, thinking any old way will do?
Their modern take on God’s grace just as askew as Israel’s take on God’s Law,
Both going too far in opposite directions, licence or works, each the wrong door.
And therefore, rather than Christ-like-ness — love, truth and righteousness — what is soon seen
But balance lost, fanatics and liberals, a false witness, confusing scene.
Their directions having departed from the will and life of Jesus Christ, who,
In order to reach minds and hearts, wants His Word and our example to ring true.

10. We Know What's Going On
Yes, we’re well aware that those stand up Pastors who remain true to God’s Word and will,Soon incur the distaste of puppet pastors and their bosses who’re so liberal.
Hence why they’re maligned, sidelined, or despatched to some outpost, even removed somehow,
But the God of justice biding His time and keenly observing it all for now.
And that time almost here when (unless they repent) they will hear that, “Depart from Me,”
Having acted like that evil bunch in Israel who put Christ on Calvary.
He shunned too, put out the way, but Christ will have His day, because no excuse will do,
It all about how we treat others, all of His children, hence why justice is due.
So who’s standing up for these pastors getting the treatment, is it you, is it I,
Because what would make us think that God’s quite happy with us just standing idly by?
No, we’re to run to the rescue of all who are walking true to God’s Word and will,
And who’re getting treated un-Christ-like too, experiencing that same Satanic ill.

REGARDING ERRORS IN "THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST" MOVIE
we preached to you, let him be accursed" (Gal 1:8, ESV).
Hollywood has a habit of distorting biblical truth.
So, drawing from various sources, and as an example, here are some of the many dangerous errors in the movie The Passion Of The Christ:
In, and according to the movie, but NOT according to the Bible,
1) Satan is presented as a female.
2) Mary is seen rescuing her falling Son when He was a child.
3) In the garden Christ looks scary, His face and hair covered with mud and grease.
4) Satan appears in physical form. A serpent comes out of him, creeps toward Christ and nearly bites Him. Christ stands up and crushes the serpents head.
5) A girl wipes Christ’s face.
6) Christ says "Let this chalice pass from me," not "cup" as in God's Word. This error is significant.
7) In the garden Christ is bound with a heavy chain and beaten by soldiers.
8) As Christ is being brutalized in the garden, Mary, at home, awakens from her sleep and makes some supposedly significant comment.
9) Jewish children throw stones at Judas when he is on his way to hanging himself.
10) Christ is thrown off a bridge by the Pharisees when He's on His way to Pilate, and then pulled back up via a chain that’s around His waist.
11) Mary is dressed like a Medieval nun, not like a Jewish woman living at that time.
12) Mary kisses the floor above where Christ is imprisoned.
13) Mary makes a comment to Christ during His scourging. A cat-o’-nine tails with metal barbs is used.
14) Mary and Mary Magdalene are given clothes by Pilate’s wife to mop up Christ’s blood.
15) Mary asks Pilate’s wife if she can do something to have Roman soldiers protect Christ from the angry crowd. Pilate’s wife then acts on behalf of Mary.
16) An effeminate Herod is depicted.
17) Christ falls three times due to the weight of the cross. The Scriptures do not explicitly mention falls.
18) Christ walks 14 supposed ‘Stations of the Cross.’
19) Via eye contact, Mary infuses mystical power on her Son.
20) Mary meets up with Peter on a street after he has denied Christ. Peter falls on his knees, calls Mary “Mother,” tells her of his wrong, and asks her forgiveness.
21) A wild riot breaks out; Christ is brutally beaten by all; Romans and Jews fight wildly as Christ is dragging His cross to Calvary.
22) Soldiers call Christ “Kings of worms.”
23) Simon of Cyrene and Christ carry the cross together.
24) Mary kisses Christ’s feet as He hangs on the cross.
25) A crow pecks out the eye of the unrepentant thief.
26) Christ has a destroyed eye. His body is a bloodied pulp.
27) Christ’s mother, Mary Magdalene, and John, take Christ’s body down from the cross.
28) Jews watch as their temple splits in two and sections of it collapse, due to the earthquake that occurred at Christ’s death. Neither the Bible or history indicates any such thing happened to their temple.
29) Mary is present in all the major episodes, given an exaggerated and exalted role, and clearly presented as a co-redemptrix and mediatrix.
30) Peter denies Christ without a cock crowing.
31) Of Christ, Herod says, "He's just crazy."
32) Mary kisses the blood-stained foot of Jesus.
33) Mary is involved in a silent face-off with Satan.
34) A Catholic saint is featured with her daughter.
35) The garment of Jesus is ripped apart.
Further comments:
This movie does not present the traditional protestant view of Christ’s sacrifice.
Mel Gibson himself called this movie a Marian film. In other words, The Passion is the Gospel according to Rome. The truth is that Mary was not blessed above all women, but was simply the most blessed among women
This movie is largely based on the visions of two mystics — St. Anne Catherine Emmerich (1774-1824) and Mary of Agreda (1602-1665), hence why it is littered with historical inaccuracies.
Unlike the Scriptures, this movies focus, is on the bloody, violent, gruesome, torturous, and painful. It is gore from beginning to end. And relentlessly so. This movie seems obsessed with such, rather than with any message of love. And the resurrection of Christ, is virtually non-existent. The Gospel writers do not linger or dwell on the details of Christ’s suffering. As Christians, we are to focus on Christ’s life of obedience, His sacrificial death, resurrection, intercession, and victorious return as our King.
The movie focuses on Christ’s physical suffering where as the Scriptures focus on His spiritual suffering.
To expose children to the appalling violence in this movie, is to act extremely irresponsibly.
All the Jewish people seen in the film are portrayed dreadfully. The movie overlooks the presence of Jews [including Jewish leaders] and Romans that believed in, accepted, and supported Christ. It appears that about half of the Jewish population, living in the city of Jerusalem, accepted Christ as their expected Messiah.
Watching such movies as ‘The Passion Of The Christ’ and the ’Da Vinci Code’ without knowing the correct biblical and historical facts, can lead to one accepting as fact, what in reality is actually fiction.
Playing the role of any divine Being is biblically and ethically wrong.
Christ was never impersonated by early Christians. Early Christians realized that to do so, was to bring God down to a level that would violate His majesty and purity. Thus, none of the early Christians during the first four centuries, involved themselves in the likes of Passion Plays. In fact, no pictures of Christ were drawn by the early Christians either. Hence, the fish and anchor symbols used. This was all in accordance with the second commandment.
However, things gradually changed, because Gentile Christians coming into the church brought their pagan beliefs and practices with them. Protestants round the time of the Reformation strongly rejected the likes of Passion Plays, images, etc.

11. That Falling Away From Truth
Please don’t dwell on that savage beating of Christ, but on His death on Calvary,That beating nothing to do with saving, but His life, which paid the penalty.
It not about gore but sacrifice, flagellations a Catholic affair,
And why Mel Gibson’s Marion movie, back to Mother Rome is seen to steer.
Yes, Christ was beaten alright, but God’s Word doesn’t dwell on it so ghoulishly,
Just Hollywood, forever churning out violence, falsehood, and fantasy.
Deception and a great falling away from truth a sign of the times, you see,
Hence why to many Christians also, Christ will soon be saying, “Depart from Me.”
The truth is that this movie is really just the Gospel according to Rome,
Who’s been delighted that this movie’s resulted in many returning home.
And by home, I mean, back to the bosom of Catholicism, her Mary,
Not that Mary depicted in God’s Word, and why we’ve been warned to be wary.
“But it’s such a good witnessing tool despite its flaws,” some non-Catholics claim,
Which effectively is sanctioning the use of error and falsehood in God’s name.
The whole truth and nothing but the truth, God says, lest we aid and abet our foe,
A devil who loves to hack into the truth, as every Christian should know.
Rome’s never been happy about the Protestant Reformation that God blessed,
And ever since, in order to counteract such, recover, has done her best.
Her overtures seemingly benign these days — a ruse! — her doctrines still askew,
Her Mary competing with Christ, yet lulled and fooled Protestants far from a few.
When a man on Earth is called ‘Holy Father’, Heaven’s aghast, and rightly so,
Such the height of blasphemy, along with that ‘Queen of Heaven’ God doesn’t know.
She featured in that movie more than in the Bible, which Catholics should read,
And heed, rather than the words of men, or some man, and for God’s forgiveness plead.
Yes, that falling away from truth no small thing, and why folk will perish, we’re told,
And why in one hand, and in the other, the words of men and God we can’t hold.
But rather, the whole truth and nothing but the truth, so help me God — yes indeed,
And hence that greater responsibility on those who influence and lead.

"The coming of the lawless one [God usurping power] will be in accordance with the work of Satan displayed
in all kinds of counterfeit miracles, signs and wonders, and in every sort of evil that deceives those
who are perishing. They perish because they refused to love the truth and so be saved"
(2 Thess 2:9,10, NIV).
12. Careful!
Let us be very careful when we're interpreting God’s Word,Lest it be that something erroneous via our lips be heard.
For who knows where such leads when to another we wrongly say
Something that’s inaccurate that God wouldn’t have us convey.
The greatest respect should be shown for God's Word and its contents,
For dishonouring the Bible is a grievous offence.
And are we making folk laugh who’re anti-Christianity,
Via our Bible version scraps, that one version mentality?
