He's Coming!

He’s coming! Yes! He’s coming! Jesus Christ will soon appear,
The groanings of creation show His coming’s very near.
Tumultuous signs surround us, and Heaven and Earth declare:
"Christ’s coming!" And He’s pleading, “Please repent, respond, prepare.”

Before His actual coming some will say He’s here or there,
And it might be, that Satan as Christ, will try to appear.
But Scripture of such warns us, providing a picture that's clear,
Lest there be some who mistake when and how Christ will appear.

As Christ returns triumphant (at a time nobody knows),
Every eye on earth shall see Him, Revelation clearly shows.
As the other worlds look on, Christ’s glory and great power
Are clearly manifested at His second coming hour.

The heavens and earth are shaken, sounds of His coming reach the ears,
Lightning flashes east to west as Christ in glory appears.
That brightness of His coming, those who’ve spurned Him cannot bear,
And soon their lifeless bodies just lie scattered everywhere.

Suddenly Christ’s trumpet blast throughout the earth is heard,
And His loud commanding cry, that sees saints in graves soon stirred.
Oh, what joy, as they all behold their Saviour’s loving face,
Knowing He has kept His promise, saved them via His gift of grace.

The angels by the thousands who’ve descended with their Lord
Gather risen and those waiting, wing them back to their reward.
On their journey homeward, what a sight beholds their eyes,
As scenes beyond description bring forth awe-inspired cries.

Soon homes prepared in Heaven (that the Saviour meant for all),
Echo with praises, that come from the Master’s harvest haul.
All, throughout earth’s history, who’ve been faithful to Christ’s call,
Sup at the wedding table in the Master’s banquet hall.

Yes, He’s coming, He’s promised, love won’t let Him stay away;
Those homes prepared in Heaven, rest upon the "Rock," not clay.
This old earth as it exists, He’ll renew one future day,
But first He wants to save us, later here with Him we’ll stay.

This earth and all its treasure will very soon pass away,
For sin has marred its beauty, filled it with death and decay.
No wonder Christ is coming, for He knows it soon must end,
And then a thousand years in Heaven we’ll with Him spend.

This time that’s spent in Heaven will allow each one to see
Why there are many missing, and why saved they could not be.
Then Christ (thus vindicated), will finally put an end
To the unsaved resurrected at the millennium’s end.

As Christ and all the righteous then descend to earth below,
Satan tells the resurrected, “We’ll attack when I say go.”
But Christ (the Mighty Warrior) devours them with fire,
And then on earth, the righteous forever live with their Messiah.

Will it be that you’ll be there at the Bridegroom’s celebration?
Will it be that you’ll accept Christ’s wedding invitation?
Will you heed Christ’s final call, His End-time revelation?
Love’s attempt to try and save the End-time generation.

“ ‘Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with POWER and GREAT GLORY’ ” (Matt 24:30).

“ ‘For the Son of Man is to come WITH HIS ANGELS in the glory of His Father, and then He will repay everyone for what has been done’ ” (Matt 16:27).

“Look! He is coming with the clouds [angels]; EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM, even those who pierced Him; and on His account all the tribes of the earth will wail [the remorse of the wicked]. So it is to be. Amen” (Rev 1:7).

“ ‘So, if they say to you, ‘Look! He is in the wilderness,’ do not go out. If they say, ‘Look! He is in the inner rooms,’ do not believe it. For as the LIGHTNING COMES FROM THE EAST AND FLASHES AS FAR AS THE WEST, so will be the coming of the Son of Man’ ” (Matt 24:26,27).

“For the Lord Himself, with a CRY OF COMMAND, with the ARCHANGEL’S CALL and with the SOUND OF GOD’S TRUMPET, will descend from heaven, and [then] the dead in Christ will rise [upwards to heaven] first [out of fairness]. Then we who are alive [the righteous living at the time of Christ’s second coming], who are left [because the dead at that time are already rising upward], will be CAUGHT UP IN THE CLOUDS together with them [the righteous dead] to meet the Lord IN THE AIR [Christ does not touch the defiled earth]; and so we will be with the Lord [are then taken to heaven] forever [never to be parted again]” (1 Thess 4:16,17).

How Much Longer?

Why has Christ delayed His coming? Well, essentially, it’s grace,
Or to put it another way, He LOVES the human race.
He’s wanting to take all He can back home with Him, you see,
Courtesy of His sacrificial death on Calvary.

Had He come sooner we mightn’t have been born, thus we’d miss out,
So I praise His name — that due to His delay — we’ll hear His shout;
That is, if we don’t forsake Him, but rather, remain true,
And willingly — out of gratitude — His wishes pursue.

Because His love’s so awesome, He’s warning humanity
Via woes afflicting earth He’s allowing reluctantly.
He knows that most are sleeping, or doubting His soon return,
And that too late, their unfortunate fate, may sadly learn.

He knows that earth’s seductions, ignorance and unbelief
Will ultimately see most suffering from untold grief.
When people discover they’re lost, how tragic that will be,
Hence why Christ has delayed His coming very mercifully.

Wow! What love.
