...a thought provoking poetical exercise.

“And war broke out in heaven; Michael and His angels [the loyal angels] fought against the dragon [Satan]. The dragon and his angels [those who sided with Satan] fought back, but they were defeated, and there was no longer any place for them in heaven. The great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the Devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world — he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him...” (Rev 12:7-9,12). Note also Isa 14:12-14; Rev 12:4 — a third of the angels.

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil [Satan] walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8, NKJV).

“For our struggle is not against enemies of blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers of this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places” (Eph 6:12).

“Take no part in the unfruitful works of darkness, but instead expose them” (Eph 5:11).

“The coming of the lawless one is apparent in the working of Satan, who uses all power, signs, lying wonders, and every kind of wicked deception for those who are perishing, because they refused to love the truth and so be saved...” (2 Thess 2:9-11).

“...For Satan himself transforms himself into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also transform themselves into ministers of righteousness...” (2 Cor 11:14,15, NKJV).

“Let no one be found among you...who practices DIVINATION or SORCERY, INTERPRETS OMENS, ENGAGES IN WITCHCRAFT, or CASTS SPELLS, or who is a MEDIUM or SPIRITIST, or who CONSULTS THE DEAD. Anyone who does these things is detestable to the Lord, and because of these detestable practices the Lord your God will drive out those nations before you” (Deut 18:10-12, NIV).

“When men tell you to consult MEDIUMS and SPIRITISTS, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living? To the law and to the testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, they have no light of dawn” (Isa 8:19,20, NIV). Note also Eph 6:12.

“Do not turn to MEDIUMS or seek out SPIRITISTS, for you will be defiled by them. I am the LORD your God” (Lev 19:31, NIV).

“So I will come near to you for judgment; I will be quick to testify against SORCERERS…” (Mal 3:5, NIV).

“Furthermore, Josiah got rid of the MEDIUMS and SPIRITISTS, the household gods, the idols and all the other detestable things seen in Judah and Jerusalem…” (2 Kings 23:24, NIV).

“A man or a woman who is a MEDIUM or SPIRITIST among you must be put to death…” (Lev 20:27, NIV). Note also Ex 22:18.

“ ‘But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the polluted, the murderers, the fornicators, the SORCERERS, the idolaters, and all liars, their place will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death’ ” (Rev 21:8).

“Many of those who believed now came and openly confessed their evil deeds. A number who had practiced SORCERY brought their scrolls together and burned them publicly...” (Acts 19:18,19, NIV).

“One day, as we were going to the place of prayer, we met a slave girl who had a SPIRIT OF DIVINATION and brought her owners a great deal of money by fortune-telling. While she followed Paul and us, she would cry out, “These men are slaves of the Most High God, who proclaim to you a way of salvation.” She kept doing this for many days. Paul, very much annoyed, turned and said to the spirit, “I order you in the name of Jesus Christ to come out of her.” And it came out that very hour” (Acts 16:16,18).

“The dead DO NOT PRAISE THE LORD, nor do any that go down into SILENCE [they have no more use of the powers of mind or body]” (Ps 115:17).

“For in death THERE IS NO REMEMBRANCE OF YOU [God]; in Sheol [the grave] who can give You praise” (Ps 6:5).

“Whatever your hand finds to do, do with your might; FOR THERE IS NO WORK OR THOUGHT OR KNOWLEDGE OR WISDOM IN SHEOL [the grave], to which you are going” (Eccl 9:10).

“When their breath departs, they return to the earth; on that very day THEIR PLANS PERISH” (Ps 146:4).

“ ‘So mortals lie down and DO NOT RISE AGAIN; UNTIL THE HEAVENS ARE NO MORE [until the Second Coming], they WILL NOT AWAKE OR BE ROUSED OUT OF THEIR SLEEP [“Sleep” (metaphoric usage) refers to that passage of time between one’s death and Christ’s second coming. It’s at Christ’s coming that the “saved” dead will be raised]’ ” (Job 14:12).

“But I [Paul] would not have you ignorant, brethren, concerning them WHICH ARE ASLEEP, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope [the unbelievers]” (1 Thess 4:13, KJV).

“ ‘Many of those who SLEEP IN THE DUST OF THE EARTH shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt’ ” (Dan 12:2). Note also Acts 24:15; John 5:28,29.

“ ‘….that he both died and was buried, and his tomb is with us to this day...For David DID NOT ASCEND INTO THE HEAVENS…’ ” (Acts 2:29,34).

“Yet all these [faithful Bible heroes of all the ages] though they were commended for their faith, did not receive what was promised [eternal life, immortality], since God had provided something better [much fairer] SO THAT THEY WOULD NOT, APART FROM US, BE MADE PERFECT [be given immortality. They will have to wait till Christ’s second coming]” (Heb 11:39,40).

“ ‘For the Son of Man is TO COME [at His Second Coming] with His angels in the Glory of His Father, and THEN HE WILL REPAY [with either eternal life or destruction] everyone for what has been done’ ” (Matt 16:27). Note also Rev 22:12; Luke 14:14.

“Finally, there is LAID UP FOR ME [kept in store] the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on THAT DAY [the Second Coming], and not to me only but also to all who have loved [longed for] HIS APPEARING” (2 Tim 4:8).

“The SOUL that sinneth, IT SHALL DIE…[whatever one calls the soul, it’s clear it will die]” (Ezek 18:20, KJV).

“You should know that whoever brings back a sinner from wandering WILL SAVE THE SINNER’S SOUL FROM DEATH and will cover a multitude of sins” (James 5:20).

“It is HE [God] ALONE who has IMMORTALITY and dwells in unapproachable light, whom no one has ever seen or can see; to Him be honor and eternal dominion. Amen” (1 Tim 6:16).

“Keep on, then, with your magic spells and with your many sorceries, which you have laboured at since childhood.  Perhaps you will succeed, perhaps you will cause terror.  All the counsel you have received has only worn you out!  Let your astrologers come forward, those stargazers who make predictions month by month, let them save you from what is coming upon you.  Surely they are like stubble; the fire will burn them up.  They cannot even save themselves from the power of the flame.  Here are no coals to warm anyone; here is no fire to sit by.  That is all they can do for you—these you have laboured with and trafficked with since childhood.  Each of them goes on in his error; there is not one that can save you” (Isa 47:12-15, NIV).

The Realm Of Darkness

Dear friend, never court the realm of darkness where fallen angels dwell,
Because it’s a realm of evil that will certainly lead to ill.
And there, the devil and all his henchmen are waiting to ensnare
All who think that this territory’s not something they need to fear.

This realm of evil spirits is one we’ve been told to leave alone,
Because involvement in this territory God cannot condone.
It’s a realm that’s opposed to God, and a supernatural sphere,
That a third of Heaven's angels and their rebellious leader share.

Satan, who was once called Lucifer, fooled these angels with his lies,
Who then joined him in his rebellion despite Heaven's warning cries.
And God banishing them from Heaven once rebellion turned to war,
And why deception they weave too, just like Lucifer did before.

And knowing the past of our departed ones, they seek to mislead
Via the information that human mediums they somehow feed.
And this why many think that contact can be made with those who’re dead,
When it is simply mediums just saying what they have been fed.

You see, God's Word clearly tells us that no one can talk to the dead,
And therefore, no one should take notice of what a medium's said.
We’re told that the dead know nothing, and metaphorically sleep,
And that the righteous dead aren’t raised until Christ comes to call His sheep.

And Scripture also says that God will destroy mediums with fire,
Because that cruel art they practice, dark Satanic forces inspire.
Therefore, such mediums are playing with a very evil realm
That has a known liar, deceiver and tale weaver at its helm.

But it’s no doubt simply trickery that most mediums employ
In order to acquire the information that will falsely buoy.
So, preying on the vulnerable, they toy with the heart and mind,
Until their probing questions something very advantageous find.

The devil and his angels are clapping their grubby hands with glee,
For so many, including Christians, embrace their territory.
It seems that the supernatural, the occult, and fantasy,
Are now lauded, applauded and embraced throughout society.

Oh yes, it’s all there in Harry Potter or The Lord Of The Rings,
Ghosts, witches, wizards, trolls and so many other evil things.
No, God doesn’t approve of wizards, even if they cast good spells,
Nor goblins, elves, fairies and vampires that many currently thrills.

Never before have we seen such a blatant proliferation
Of things supernatural that God’s called an “abomination.”
Such filling the shelves of bookstores and many programs on TV,
But even worse, such is filling homes throughout Christianity.

Yes, every Christian should know better, for the Scriptures make it clear
That those embracing Satan’s realm, the medium's fate will soon share.
Like fortune-tellers and psychics who will soon find out what they’ve lost,
For embracing Satan’s territory eternal life will cost.

All the evil that is mentioned here is just saturating minds,
Preparing them for Satan’s End-time miracles and signs.
’Cause used to fantasy and fiction they’ll fall more easily
For his End-time ruse that has been designed to fool humanity.

Satan and his evil angels [demons], who were cast out of heaven, have been busy attempting to fool (John 8:44) and ensnare (1 Peter 5:8) humanity by:

1) Cleverly packaging deceptions, e.g. supernatural occurrences, apparitions [ghosts—actually evil angels], miracles, unidentified flying objects [which become distractions], etc.
2) Distorting truth, mixing truth with error, outright lies, making what is wrong look right, making what is good look bad.
3) Making fiction and fantasy more attractive [or seem more real] to us.

Satan’s territory includes the following, which Christians have been warned to leave alone:

1) Attempting to communicate with the dead via mediums, séances, Ouija Boards, etc.
2) Attempting to tell the future via clairvoyants, psychics, astrology, tarot cards, palmistry, etc.
3) Involvement in any rituals, and practices associated with the occult, e.g. Satanic ceremonies, books, items, clothing, white magic, symbols [supposedly having magical properties], etc.
4) The use of things supposedly containing supernatural powers, e.g. crystals, amulets [used to ward off spells], etc.
5) The playing of games, the reading of books/material or watching of movies/videos that contain [entertainment wise], e.g. ghosts, wizards, sorcerers, hobgoblins, trolls, dragons, vampires, werewolves, Zombies, fairies, witches, spells, magic, gods, occult symbols, witchcraft, encompasses fairy tales, legends, etc.
6) Observing the likes of Halloween [witches holiday], St. John’s Eve [midsummer witches celebration], Yule [midwinter witch festival] —  dressing up as witches, wizards, etc.
7) Practicing Satanism [the religion devoted to the worship of the devil] with all its associated rituals, Voodoo [a religion that uses magic, communes with the dead, etc], etc.

God has absolutely forbidden Christians to enter Satan’s realm in any form (Deut 18:10-12; Lev 19:3; 20:27; Mal 3:5; Ex 22:18; Isa 8:19,20; Acts 16:16,18; 19:18,19), because —

1) It is a realm that is in total opposition to God [anti-Christ], and all that He stands for.
2) It is the realm of darkness, falsehood, and evil.
3) It is dangerous [one can become possessed by demons as a result, who don’t like letting go, and whose desire is to harm and destroy humans]. 
4) Those who involve themselves in this realm will not receive eternal life (Rev 21:8; 22:15; Gal 5:19-21), unless they repent.
5) It is a realm that Satan will use to bring about a major End-time deception (Rev 13:13,14; 16:13,14) that will fool (2 Thess 2:9-11; Rev 19:20; 13:13,14; John 8:44) most of the inhabitants of this earth, including Christians [who will think God is behind it, that it has His blessing] (Matt 7:22,23), leading to their destruction along with Satan and his evil angels (Rev 20:10,15). The delusions that Satan will use regarding this End-time deception will be so subtle [cleverly disguised] that almost everyone will accept them as reality [true, fact, real] (Matt 24:24). These delusions will be presented in a way [whether by word or action] that will make them appear acceptable, wonderful, and spiritual [Godly]. However, Satan has been very busy preparing people for this End-time deception for some time (1 John 4:1; 1 Tim 4:1; 2 Cor 11:14,15). Christians who have been allowing themselves to be entertained by things that belong to Satan’s realm, will not so easily recognize the real thing when it occurs, or won’t see it for the danger that it is, and thus will be caught out. Many, for example, will mistake Satan’s cruel deceptions for God’s miracles. 

“Abomination” is the severest word used in the Bible to describe something that is offensive to God, and He uses it when talking about the territory of Satan (Deut 18:10-12, KJV). In Old Testament times God sent His prophets to strongly warn His people not to get involved in such activities (Mal 3:5). And the New Testament upholds such warnings (Rev 21:8; 22:15; Gal 5:19-21). King Josiah [the grandson of King Manasseh who angered God with his involvement in the spiritualistic (2 Chronicles 33:6, KJV)] attempted to avert the coming judgment of God by getting rid of the mediums and sorcerers, including those who consulted them (2 Kings 23:24). God does not make a distinction between “good” sorcerers and “bad” ones, or “good” wizards and “bad” ones, as is commonly conveyed via books and movies, etc [e.g. Harry Potter, Lord of the Rings]. They are all part of the forbidden realm and all are an abomination in God’s eyes, and it is the Christian’s duty to expose and condemn this realm and all that is associated with it (Eph 5:11; 6:10,11,12, this one NIV; 2 Cor 6:4; 1 Tim 4:1; Col 2:8). It is willful and serious sin when we knowingly set out to gain pleasure from what God calls an “abomination.” Such action places us in a very dangerous position regarding our salvation (Heb 10:26,27; James 4:17)
