LOVE is warning us.

“ ‘Why do you call Me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and do not do what I say?’ ” (Luke 6:46, NIV).

The history of ancient Israel provides many lessons for us as Christians, and yet, here we are repeating many of the same mistakes, and thereby, incurring God's displeasure too.

God’s judgments, in the form of Him slowly removing His restraining hand, are beginning to fall on humanity whose cup of iniquity is pretty much full, if not so. And in this hour of judgment, God's rebukes will also fall on those who’ve soiled His Church with a form of godliness, wrongful introductions and heresy. Christendom having fallen away from truth just like ancient Israel upon whom God’s judgments eventually fell too.
Note the parallels:

Us today.

"For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17, NASB).

Ancient Israel.

"And said to him, ‘Go through the city, through Jerusalem, and put a mark on the foreheads of those who sigh and groan over all the abominations that are committed in it. Cut down old men, young men and young women, little children and women, but touch no one who has the mark. And begin at my sanctuary’ " (Ezek 9:4,6).

Here we see the close of Jerusalem’s probation. God had exhausted His resources in appealing to rebellious Israel, thus removing His restraining from the invading Chaldeans. The sanctuary was where the gross sins of the people had been concentrated; and what do we see going down in churches today? Oh dear.
Yes, time to take things very seriously.

Therefore, the work of John the Baptist (Luke chapter 3) is a type of work that is needed in this age. Thus the way being prepared for Christ’s second advent just as John the Baptist prepared the way for Christ’s first advent, the coming Messiah; Christ's ministry begining at age thirty.
Thus the message isn’t one of peace and safety but, “Prepare to meet thy God,” because: Sin has become fashionable, glossed over and excused. Right principles are no longer cherished. The conscience of many has become insensible to counsel and reproofs. Apostasy and heresy are rife. Wolves have penetrated the flock. Crime, violence and bloodshed abound. Unrighteous amusements are beguiling and entrapping. Yes, “As in the days of Noah…”
John the Baptist was strong, clear and pointed in his denunciations, he going forth in the spirit, and with the power of Elijah (Mal 4:4-6; Matt 17:12), even rebuking kings for their iniquity. And so it must be with us, we calling a spade a spade (2 Tim 4:1-5).

And why, via the apocalyptic book of Revelation which details End-time events, the following is clearly hollered:

PREPARE FOR CHRIST’S RETURN (Rev 14:7,14; Luke 12:40).

Repent, turn away from wrong (Heb 10:26,27; 2 Peter 3:11). Worship the Creator God who made the Earth in six literal days and rested on the seventh day, blessing it and making it Holy (Gen 2:3; Ex 20:11; Heb 4:1-11).
Note the signs of Christ's coming (Matt 24:3,6,7,12,24; Luke 21:25-27; 2 Tim 3:1-5; 2 Peter 3:3,4).

THE TIME OF HIS JUDGING MANKIND HAS BEGUN (Rev 14:7; 2 Cor 5:10; Acts 17:31).

Is in session (Dan 7:9,10,13; Rev 20:12).
Our future is decided prior to Christ’s coming given that He will be bringing His reward or penalty with Him (Rev 22:12; Heb 11:39,40).

Do not take part in Babylon's sins, rebellion.
Modern Babylon parallels Babylon of old where all were forced to worship an image as are those prior to Christ’s coming who will witness a global persecuting “beast” power (Rev 13:15; 17:5,6; 18:24), Modern Babylon represents all those religious bodies and movements that have fallen away from truth. Apostate religion. A wrongful fusion of various elements. Those who remain in Babylon will suffer the plagues that it will receive in due time (Rev 18:2,4).
Modern Babylon aids the coming global persecuting "beast" power.
My The End-Time page reveals more about modern Babylon.

"Let no one deceive you in any way, for that day [Christ's second coming] will not come unless [until] the rebellion [apostasy] comes first and the lawless one is revealed, the one destined for destruction" (2 Thess 2:3,4).

Lawless one:
An arrogant, haughty power that opposes all competitors in the field of religion and permits no rival to receive the worship he claims for himself.
Remember, (and according to Scripture), that the anti-Christ takes on the glory and prerogatives of God, esteems itself as highly, utters blasphemous statements, fools via its godly appearance, signs and wonders, plays with truth and God’s Ten Commandments (Dan 7:25), and is connected to the numbers 666.
Bear in mind too, that in the original Bible language, anti-Christ can mean "in place of."

The Lawless One, and Part Eight — Is History About To Repeat Itself?

Don't worship this false system. Don't take on its mark (Rev 14:9,10). Be faithful only to God.
The global "beast" power is a church and state alignment (Rev 13:15; 14:8; 18:2-4). It forcing all to worship it via legislation. It a wolf in sheep's clothing.

“For when they shall say, peace and security, then shall sudden destruction come upon them, as the pains upon her that is with child, and they shall not escape.” (1Thess 5:3, Douay-Rheims Version).

KEEP GOD’S COMMANDMENTS (Rev 14:12; Rom 3:31; 1 Cor 7:19; Isa 8:20, KJV).

Exactly as laid down (James 2:10-12; Luke 16:17; Matt 5:18; Acts 24:14; Matt 22:36-40; Heb 8:10).

BE FAITHFUL UNTIL THE END (Rev 14:13; 13:15; 12:17).

Thus no rapture (Heb 11:39,40), such being a false doctrine that is imperilling so many Christians by lulling them into a false sense of security (Rom 16:17,18).

Seen These Texts?

“And the dragon [Satan] was enraged with the woman [the Christian church], and he went to make war [persecute] with the rest [“remnant,” KJV] of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.” (Rev 12:17, NKJV).

“And I [John] fell at his feet to worship him [an angel]. But he said to me, ‘See that you do not do that! I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy’ ” (Rev 19:10, NKJV).

The first text says to me that come Earth’s end-time, God’s Law is still to be upheld,
And that those who’re keeping them will be the only faithful ones left in the world.
The second says to me that there will be a prophet in their midst, a true one,
One who just like that group, will uphold that same moral law written by the Son.

And one sure to fit here, ’cause we’re told the hour of God’s judgment has come, is now,
And prophets having warned ancient Israel too, given how it strayed, and how!
Yes, we told to come out of the world, out of Babylon, their destruction due,
And when God says that something will happen, you can bet it will, and right on cue.

Enter some prophet, clearly, the Spirit of Prophecy midst that faithful few,
Who, would be sounding that warning, no doubt, God’s reward or penalty in view.
And surely His Law the centrepiece, for law and justice go together, don’t they?
And prophets wherever there are coming judgments, God’s people going astray.

"For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God; and if it begins with us first, what will be
the outcome for those who do not obey the gospel of God?" (1 Peter 4:17, NASB).

"Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and hold fast
to the faith of Jesus" (Rev 14:12).

Don't They Know?

Seems that most Christians have lost sight of what Christianity’s all about,
And hence their contrariness, and why, “Hypocrisy!”, the world is heard to shout.
Why? Because Christians are supposed to be walking in accordance with God’s will,
Not bound by appetite, sins of the flesh, nor lawless and part of any ill.

And so, they hardly dating the unconverted whose ways conflict with our Lord’s,
But on the contrary, they now cutting loose from any unscriptural cords.
They minding what they watch, read, listen to, say or do, for they have repented,
Haven’t they? And hence their turning from those things that the devil has invented,

Been the cause of. Like what?

Sexual immorality, abuse, foul language, prejudice, bigotry,
Deceit, pretence, selfishness, indifference, cruelty, wrongful pride, vanity,
And the list goes on, which all Christians should be familiar with, opposed to,
And not partaking of, lest Christ soon say, “Depart from Me, I never knew you.”

So where would Christians get this knowledge from? Well, aren’t they studiers of God's Word,
And given that they’re His followers? Or is it possible that here I’ve erred?
I mean, have I got things wrong, and God not really concerned about such? But no,
Because He’s very concerned, as He is holy and righteous, which don’t they know?
